Hi!
My name is Maura Woodhull Lamb, and I am born and raised from Knoxville,Tennessee. I love spending time with my family(especially my new husband :) ) , going on long walks, having one on one talks, laying out on the beach, going to Tennessee football games, hosting game nights, meeting new people, and most of all celebrating the temporary. At the age of 14, I started working at Chick-fil-A. For the seven years that I worked with CFA, I discovered that I loved serving others, interacting with different people, leading a team, and learning new ways to improve and grow an organization.
I met my sweet hubby in college, dated for two years, then got married! The process of our engagement came with learning new things about each other and our families. We learned to be more patient, listen, and have an open perspective through the engagement. I advise to all engaged couples to make sure to find time away from wedding planning, and just focus on each other sometimes.
Why become a wedding planner?
Throughout schooling, I did not know exactly the direction I wanted to take my career. It was actually on the honeymoon when I realized that I wanted to be a wedding planner. I learned the ins and outs of how to organize, plan, and execute everything that goes into a wedding. I consider myself a detailed person and planner. For me, I am a Type A person, so I am constantly finding ways to keep myself busy and looking for a new task. I have always been a "go getter" to serve and help others. In doing wedding planning, I am accomplishing this goal. I am serving others in alleviating the stress there is in planning a wedding. One of the moments I look forward to is seeing the joyous faces of the bride and groom on their wedding day. Wedding planning should be exciting and something to look forward to. It is my job to let you have the moments that are special to you.
